What is PDR?

PDR or paintless dent repair is a collection of techniques for removing minor dents and dings from the body of a motor vehicle. A wide range of damage can be repaired using PDR.

How Does Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Work?

With paintless dent repair, the technician pushes the indented metal back into shape while preserving the factory paint. The technician will access the damaged area through natural openings in in the construction of the vehicle (i.e. windows) or by removing pieces of trim and interior panels. The technician then slowly massages the dent back into place without damaging the paint, allowing the vehicle to retain is resale value.

Is the repair permanent?

Yes, PDR is a process that reshapes the metal. Once the process is complete, the metal will retain its shape and the dent will not pop back.

How big of a dent can PDR repair?

Most common dents can be repaired with PDR, with some exceptions. PDR can usually repair a dent up to the size of a coconut.

Is PDR less expensive than traditional dent repair?

Generally speaking, PDR is a cost effective solution to repairing dents that costs less than traditional dent repair.
